How do I pay Free by direct debit?

To remember to pay a telephone bill, direct debit can be an effective solution. Thus, Free takes the amount you owe them directly from your account. It also makes it easier to manage your invoices. Note that if your bank account is not in credit, the Free direct debit will be rejected.

To set up a Free direct debit, follow these steps:

  • ask Free to send you a direct debit authorisation. The request is made via your customer area;
  • then print the direct debit authorization indicating your identity, your complete postal address and the address of your bank branch. Do not forget to indicate the date and sign;

  • Finally, all you have to do is inform Free that the method of payment has been established (by email or telephone).

Can I pay my Free invoice in cash or by check?

Payment in cash (notes or coins) is not one of the methods of payment accepted by Free because the company does not have a designated office.

Like cash, checks are not accepted by Free to pay its mobile bill. Note that if you want to pay every month by check for practical reasons, this is impossible. Like cash, this means of payment is reserved for unpaid bills.

Indeed, Free favors payments by credit card or direct debit to facilitate the management of its accounts.

What to do in the event of an unpaid problem?

The first thing to know is that in the event of an unpaid invoice, Free notifies you by SMS. Then you have several ways to fix the problem.

My direct debit is rejected

If you do not have sufficient funds in your bank account to pay your bill, your banker will refuse the direct debit. In return, access to your mobile phone will be restricted to you. You will only be able to receive outgoing calls. And on your side, it will be impossible for you to make a phone call until the situation is regularized.

On the other hand, in case of arrears, it will be impossible for you to present your direct debit again. There are three ways to pay the bill: by post, online via your subscriber area or by telephone.

Unpaid free: send a letter to the collection service

In the event of non-payment, the first solution is to send a money order to the Free collection service at the following address:
