Hawthorn is known for its regulatory action on heart rate. It also has a soothing effect. Stressed people who tend to have palpitations or tremors can therefore use it.
You will find hawthorn in the form of a standardized plant extract (1 to 2 teaspoons per day) or capsules of dry extract (400 to 800 mg per day).

Note: other diuretic plants have proven their effectiveness against high blood pressure.
