Presentation of Brest recycling centers
Residents of Brest are spoiled for choice when it comes to the waste collection service offered to them since 5 sites are open to them.
These are located in Spernot (in Brest itself), in Lavallot (in Guipavas), in Le Vern (in Brest), in Mescouezel (in Plouzané) and finally in Toull Ar Rannig (in Plougastel). The main recycling center in Brest is that of Spernot, the address of which is as follows: Waste recycling center of Brest, Le Spernot, 179 boulevard d’Europe 29200 Brest. In each of these recycling centers, residents of Brest Métropole will be able to get rid of their specific waste (such as motor oils, batteries, pesticides or batteries), their electrical waste (such as screens, telephones and large and small household appliances) and finally their green waste (leaves, vegetation of all kinds, etc.).
Within these different landfills, it will also be possible to deposit rubble, metals and most bulky items. Brest landfills: Useful information
Whether it is the Spernot waste disposal center or Le Vern, the various waste disposal centers in Brest have substantially the same opening hours with a few exceptions. With regard to the two recycling centers present in Brest itself, the opening hours from April to October are as follows:
For the Spernot recycling center, Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. As for Sundays and public holidays, the latter is open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
As for the Le Vern recycling center, it is closed on Mondays and Thursday mornings and open from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. from Monday to Saturday. For Sundays and public holidays, the opening will be from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. With the notable exception of May 1, December 25 and January 1, the Brest recycling centers are open on public holidays on Sunday hours.
Note that the 5 recycling centers are exclusively reserved for individuals in Brest metropolis. In fact, not all professional vehicles have access to these sites. You should know that for the latter, several professional waste collection centers are available to them in the territory of Brest Metropolis. The 5 waste collection centers in Brest Métropole make it possible to deposit all of its waste that cannot be recycled by its own means. Each of these sites, foremost among which are the Spernot and Le Vern recycling centers are fully secure and equipped spaces and subject to a permanent security service.
